             The part begins in the Palace of Schönbrunn where Salieri and the gentlemen Rosenberg, Von Strack and Van Swieten have a conversation about the next opera for the emperor. They decide to arrange a meeting with a young man called Mozart, who seems to be a talented musician.
             In the library where Salieri tries to consume the paradisal dish, Mozart and his girlfriend Constanze suddenly enter the room. It's the first time Salieri sees his later rival, Mozart is described as the following:
             The behaviour of the young couple is very childish and obscene, Mozart asks Constanze to marry him but the proposal seems unserious.
             Then they leave the room again and Mozart starts his concert in the palace. It sounds so delightful that it hurts Salieri and he runs home.
             Again in the palace, the emperor Joseph and his following are waiting for Mozart. When he comes in, Salieri plays his self-composed march of welcome, an extremely banal piece.
             Mozart is very friendly, his greeting is a bit high spirited. He gives some information about the work on his opera, says that he won't compose the usual Italian rubbish.
             At the end, he gives a sample of his incredible musical abilities. He replays Salieri's March on the piano perfectly from memory. Not only that, he corrects some tacts that his performance sounds much better than Salieri's version. Everyone can see what a formidable virtuoso he is.
             Salieri plans his next project, but he realizes that Mozart is plainly the better musician.
             The places are most of the time the palace of Schönbrunn, but also short scenes in the library of the baroness Waldstädten and in Salieri's appartment.This part still takes place in the twenties of the 19th century.
             In this time it was usual that the royal houses have their own composers and operas.
             I learned that "Amadeus" is not absolutely the real story of Mozar
