Short story analyzes on A Good Man is Hard to Find
            
             What does it take to justify good and evil? Does it take the actions that we do? If that was true then the whole world is evil. Is it our faith? Well that's preposterous because then who decides which faith is the correct faith? Maybe nobody really knows and that's why a good man really is hard to find.
             When an atheist convict with no conscience escapes from prison and a family on their way to a vacation happen to meet in the same place, asking for mercy is not an option. When you have given up God then anything can go wrong. A family has decided to go on a vacation to Florida and just happens to come in to contact with a ruthless killer who has no signs of remorse
             Supporting my idea about the Misfit being an atheist, Madison Jones stated in one of her essays that " He may be haunted by the vision of Christ" "He cant believe in Christ raising the dead because he was not there to see it happen. All he can believe is what he sees with his own eyes" (Madison Jones 208). I can see where the misfit is coming from. I don't really believe in things in things unless I can see them or some documentation of it but sometimes you just have to have faith. But then again, the Misfit also said, "If I had been there (when Jesus rose the dead) then I wouldn't be the way I am now".
             A man escapes from prison, does that make him a bad man? Because a man knows not right from wrong, does it make him a bad man? Maybe it does but maybe the good man is trapped within the bad man. Maybe the Misfit is misunderstood. He was a gentleman, even though he was killing the family. He apologized for not having a shirt on in front of the ladies, and then explained why he had no shirt.
