By now he was already a well-known public figure. He was given a prison sentence of five years, but was in a special prison where he could leave but had to be in at curfew, because he was a socialist. Whilst he was in prison he wrote the book Mein Kampf, in which contained strong racist ideology, and became known as the "Nazis bible," when they came in to power. This book sheds light on his obsession with "race" his hatred of Jews and his designs to provide a racial solution to Germanys "Radical problem." "A rational anti-Semitism must lead to the systematic legal fight against and the elimination of the prerogatives of the Jew...its ultimate goal however, must unalterably be the elimination of the Jews." (19.9.1919) Was what Hitler was aiming for in 1919, he wanted all of the Jews in Germany eradicated.

The greatest enemy of Nazism was maxism – the hatred of Jews. In 1933 Hitler was made the Chancellor of Germany, and he started bringing in Anti-Semitic policies in 1933 through to 1938, Jews became no longer able to carry out their normal lives.
