Hinduism and Christianity

             The world is filled with many religions and beliefs. Some religions have close similarities and some are extremely different. The world is a complicated place that we as human beings have been trying to understand since our species began on this earth. Religion has been created to help us understand who it is that we are, where we came from and where we will go. Christianity is the most popular and practice religions in the modern world. It has the bible, a collection of scriptures from thousands of years of faith. It has said to be a strict belief that does not accept any other thought except for what the Bible says. Hinduism is also a very prominent religion today. It, like Christianity is extremely ancient. The Hindu faith on the other hand is not as narrow minded. It takes into consideration and accepts the idea that there may be other answers. It is always growing. Unlike the Bible and Christianity the Hindu religion has no set scriptures that it derived from. It's origin is unknown. What are the similarities and differences of these faiths? Do they share one common goal? By the end of this paper I hope that we can try and understand the concepts behind these beautiful religions and open our mind to any true meanings behind them.
             Hinduism is a continuously evolving religion and was not founded by a particular person or prophet. The religion has been said to passed by word of mouth through the centuries and only after scriptures were written to create a solid of the faith.
             They believe that God is One, but also many. They have the belief that the world is only an illusion or maya and that attachment with it cause birth and death. If one does not realize the devine nature beyond material things then they will go into a cycle of reincarnation. The cycle will only cease when the self understands his/her self as a limitless inner self rather than his egoistic self.
