In America today where people are so concerned with what is new and trendy in fashion or what the latest model sports car looks like. Few stop to take time to appreciate the natural beauty to world provides for free. There is a saying regarding the issue of technology, "The more you have, the more you'll want." We use possessions as status symbols, not as living things we need to survive. The world would be a much less discriminatory place if technology were not as prevalent as it has become.
             Nature is beauty in the eye of the beholder; everyone perceives different aspects of nature as beautiful (or at least one would hope so). Some people do no appreciate the beauty of nature; they are unaware of their magnificent surrounding throughout life. In my opinion, nature is perfect itself. We are only destroying nature with our technological advances. In today's society, nature is not nearly as important as technology; nature cannot make corporate American money. Sometimes it seems as if money is all that is important to people anymore. It is hard to come by a person who is looking to find happiness within themselves through things they enjoy. It is hard to be a pure heart. These are things that would be brought out by the mere appreciation of nature. How long would it take to stop for a minute during your busy day and look at the beautiful sky? Its mass alone is amazing, not to mention the spectrum of color it presents. Appreciating and preserving nature is a worthwhile task, but many people are careless when it comes to taking care of the world we live in. A lot of nature's resources are irreplaceable, and we use them without reservation. I understand that some of these resources need to be used, but we are too extreme with things such as deforestation.
