To anyone who has ever thrown a party, you know that there is a lot of preparation involved. A well-planned party can be the ticket to a higher-social class, a dramatic increase in friends, or just an overall good time. If you are a frequent party hopper, you know that there are many crucial elements that need to exist in order for you
to have the ultimate party experience. Here are my 3 key ingredients for throwing a successful party:
1. Do not wait until the last minute to spread the word.
If you decide to have a party on a high-excitement night such as a Friday or Saturday, you must give a notice of at least a week. Otherwise, the chances of your future guests coming to your party are slim because they have probably already made prior plans. Invite every one that you know. This may seem a little extreme; however, if you invite 50 people, guaranteed, 30 people will show up. Also, if at all possible, try to have a prior knowledge of how each of your guests party. An example of someone you wouldn't want to invite is "that guy" that always drinks too much and feels it's a need to slap every butt that passes him, or "that girl" who always ends up puking within two hours of the party. 2. Choose your alcoholic beverage according to the occasion.
If you're throwing a party that is just for the partying purpose, opt with a keg. It's the most convenient way for you to keep your guests happy- at least until it runs out. If you are throwing a party that involves a theme, special event, or holiday, do something semi-creative, such as wop (usually a tub size of mixed alcohols, juice, and fruit).
