The harsh environment and climate of Australia, as well as the number of cultures significantly effected the development of Christianity in Australia.
             Australia was a dry, hot content with harsh hot winds, floods and bushfires, occupied by a race which showed an inseparable connection to the land; the aboriginals. A common Christian belief at the time was "humans alone have been created in the image of god, and that humankind was to conquer the earth." And that's what European settlers did, colonized Australian land. The settlers had little understanding of the aboriginal culture and religion and were used to much cooler, moist conditions from such place as England, and Ireland etc.
             With little understanding of the religion aboriginals were quickly seen as a problem to society leading to dispossession and widespread massacre of the aborigines.
             At the time religion was not much concern to the new forming land, Christianity was brought to Australia as baggage already having religious tensions between denominations eg, Anglicans and Irish Catholics. Although the church was not physically involved in the massacre of the aboriginal race they were involved in destruction through there mission policy and the crime of the stolen generation, in attempt to get the aborigines to adopt European culture and behaviour. This idea was seen to be helping the aboriginal community.
             As the convict colony past Christianity grew and established larger denominational organisations. The environment was alien to the church and little Australian culture showed in religion. In return Australians found alternative "religions" like mateship. This has lead to no unique Australian identity in relation to Christianity.
             Christian denominations saw a need for assistance in outback Australia, and many formed ministry in rural outback Australia addressing such areas as
             - Seclusion of the outback - resulting in lack of services such as medical care and aid. ...
