Has Modern Society Become Less

             Today's world is so different if we look back and compare what everything looked like just a decade ago. Looking at the gorgeous modern buildings, nicely dressed people in huge companies and institutions, equipments that we can't even imagine our lives without them any more, we have to see the reverse of the medal. On the contrary to the expectations of the enlightenment that science and technology would assure happiness, we find ourselves increasingly alienated. We live in an age where greediness, technological efficiency, and the large institutions have taken the place of a human. People, like brutes, quarrel, fight and kill each other to gain more material possessions and to enjoy more sensual pleasures. We live in an age of crisis of humanity when hardly anybody cares about our old customs and traditions.
             One cardinal cause of crisis of humanity is the material goodness, the money which rules the whole world. Money has destroyed the humanity and morality. It screwed up society a lot. Money does three things: it brings on greed which in turn leads to unhappiness and then not caring for anything but cash. No matter how rich one is, there is always a strife for more money. The more you have the better you are, and still the more you want. And if you don't have such a nice brand-new car that your neighbour has you are unhappy. The money seekers' focus becomes a way to keep the wealth coming. The focus disappears from their activities and family. The wealthy lose interest in time spent with their families, many lose interest in their life.
             Another factor which lessens society's humanity is the Internet and other modern equipments. In this day and age, the Internet is the new resource tool for the masses. It has changed the way we live in society and the way people interact with each other.
