Martin Luther King and Malcolm X have two totally different tones. The definition of tone is the author's attitude. King was an inspirational speaker and got his point across without criticizing or yelling at others. Malcolm X on the other hand has a different way of going about getting his point across. He is loud and don't care if he hurts others feelings. However, they also were alike in many ways.
             Martin Luther King believed in god and used him a lot in his speeches, which made his speeches more inspirational. Malcolm X also believed in god, but in a different god. Malcolm X didn't use god in his speeches as much though. Both were also demanding, and devoted to their work. So there tone was some what alike because they were serious about their beliefs.
             Martin Luther King was a devoted guy, however he didn't enforce much direct action because he was a more laid back guy. He didn't want to offend anyone and make him or her mad, so he always was careful of what he said and the way he said it. His tone almost sounded afraid of how people would react. On the other hand, Malcolm X was the exact opposite. Malcolm X had a deafening voice, regardless. When he delivered his speeches, he had a tone that nearly scared you. It opened up people's ears and made them want to listen. His tone was always tough and put off the logic that this man would do almost anything for freedom. That's the grand difference between Martin Luther King and Malcolm X.
             Martin Luther King's tone had a huge impact on today's society. Even though, Malcolm X's tone sounded more convincing, King's speeches and protest is what all remembers. King's tone had a key impact not only on African Americans but also on all people of the nation.
