Promotion Of R & D In Canada For Advancement Of Technologies
Hello, my name is Joel Bevington and I am a student at Forestburg Junior High. I am 5'10", have baby blue eyes, and I enjoy long walks on a moonlit beach. I am concerned that the government of Canada is not doing enough to promote research and development. I believe that is important to promote research and development for the advancement of new technologies.
I think that there should be more, high paying job opportunities in Canada for research and development of new technologies. I know Canada is already a world leader in the development of new technologies but they are all mostly agriculture products. I believe we need to diversify our research and development into other sectors like vehicle emission studies. If we can develop a engine that doesn't have emissions and doesn't drip water in Canada, because of our climate.
I think that even though people do not like to pay taxes but we should lick up a couple more cents from everyone to go towards the development of new technologies. This is important in order to keep the standard of living up. We won't have any living if we keep using combustion engines that destroy our ozone layer.
I also believe another important factor is that we should teach students more about research and development and have good paying jobs so we can have more people in that sector. We need to seduce our youth into wanting to be a researcher.
All in all I believe that research and development is very important to our economy and the advancement of it and our standard of living. If we don't advance our technologies we could end up like some of the lower class countries that still live in the jungles. Of course we wont live in a jungle but other people will be flying around in little spacecrafts and we don't want to miss that fun.
