             It is not uncommon to hear a child say to his friend "my parents are psycho". Most often people do not even think twice when they hear that. It could be a serious cry for help. Parents sometimes cross major lines when talking about sports, especially one their children are in. Many adults did not have the opportunity to play in sports like kids now do. Children are sometimes forced into playing certain sports and behaving certain ways just so they could be the "Trophy Kid".
             Looking back only a few months in the media there are reports of a father who crossed the line. This mans son was in a local hockey league, and they were at practice. One father got upset about a play someone made. For no justifiable reason, that man decided to hit the other kids father---it was a fatal hit. The man made the wrong decision and is now spending 6-10 years in prison. Unfortunately, this story ended with two adolescent boys who do not have their fathers guidance during the most influential times in their lives. This was the cause of a parent and a sports fan who have crossed the line.
             5'1", 76 lbs., training for 9 hours a day, healthy....this describes the perfect gymnast. Sadly, this list is also a virtually impossible one. Most gymnasts are everything described except HEALTHY. True, their physiques may look great, but due to their lack of eating their insides don't. Parents of these tiny girls are a main source of why they are like this. If these girls want to achieve success they can not be overweight. Many times these girls stop enjoying the sport when their parents start taking away privileges when they do not win or when they start feeling so malnourished they can not perform to what they think is their best.
