Spec Ops

             Special Forces Officers are the leaders of the elite units in the United States Army. Special Forces Officers train personnel in parachute, scuba diving, and special combat techniques. They plan missions and corrdinate plans with other forces as needed. Lead special forces teams and accomplish mission objectives. The Special Forces officer must be capable of planning and executing four of the five Special Forces missions unconventional warfare, foreign internal defense, direct action, and special reconnaissance. Only selected Special Forces officers who are specially trained will have the capabilities to conduct a counter-terrorism mission. Because Special Forces units can be employed in direct support of general purpose forces throughout the operational continuum, the Special Forces officer must also understand his role in the air land battle and retain his company-level conventional skills developed in his accession branch. Helpful physical attributes are good eye sight, night vision, physical conditioning, and qualified swimmers parachutists and have great endurance. Personality traits you need are the ability to remain clam and decisive under stress, willingness to accept a challenge and face danger. Also, you need the willingness to stay in top physical condition and the determination to complete the training course.
             Job training consists of up to 20 weeks of formal classroom training and practical experience. Training length varies depending on specialty. Additional training occurs on the job. Basic skills are kept sharp through planning and conducting exercises under simulated mission conditions. In order to be accepted in this job you must have went to a four year college and receive a completed degree.
