             The conventions of hip-hop are dependent on what type you are discussing. The world of female hip-hop is too broad a genre to give it specific customs or themes. However, these women all boast of their independence from men. However, that very idea can be depicted in many different ways, hence we have the five groups of female rap: 1)"Old School", 2)"New School", 3)"Feminists", 4)"Ghetto Fabulous" and 5)"Town Boy" Female rappers. These terms are not documented, but rather generic terms agreed on by most fans of female rap (lilkimzone). I will categorize the most popular and influential female rappers into such categories (there are close to 100 female rappers, however, most of them have never even had a chance to make their own albums [lilkimzone]).
