First of all I would have to say that Frank's "stop time" was a very interesting piece of writing. I am a very slow reader and to this date I didn't completely read any novel. It has always been very hard for me to get interested in novels; I would start and just get bored by the time first chapter was complete and then never go back to reading it. Same thing happened to me while reading "Stop time". I read the first chapter almost ten times (every time I would start reading I would read from the beginning) before moving onto the second chapter (Space and a Dead Mule). Second chapter did not catch my attention that much either. It bored me so much that I thought that there is no way I can read this book. I just threw my book under my bed.
Next evening after coming back from my classes and eating my supper I thought I have no option other than reading the book, so I took out the book from under my bed and instead of starting from the beginning I started with the chapter three, (Going North). I started at 8:00 PM and read till 3:00 AM. Book got me involved in it so much that I just didn't realize the time passing by so quickly. I was in the middle of chapter ten and totally sleepy, I went back home from the Broun Hall (Electrical Engineering Dept.) at three in the morning. I was really happy and proud of myself for reading so much. I was so much excited about completing the book that I got up at 8:30 in the morning and after taking a shower and eating my favorite Bacon, egg and cheese biscuit at Chick-fil-e, I went straight to the library. Read non- stop till lunch time. By 1:00 PM I completed chapter Fourteen. After eating a bagel I started reading the book again and by 4:00 PM, I finished reading the book.
