He proposed that there were good and evil forces and that people were given chances to choose between the two. When a person chose to do and be good, symbolized by light, he or she would be wholly rewarded with eternal life. On the other hand, when one opted to do or be wicked, he or she would be condemned to an eternity of wretchedness. Also, Zoroaster thought there was nothing worse than lying, and Persians trained their children to in no way do such a thing.
