f 175 children were used to establish stability coefficients over a four week time period. Practice effects were noticeable from the increase of 4.7 points. There is evidence in the WPPSI_R manual that a high correlation exists between the Standford-Binet and scores from a preschool sample of 50 children (approximately .8). In other cognitive measures the highest correlations were with Full Scale WPPSI-R, (.4 to .6) which was expected. The manual provides evidence regarding intercorrelations of the subtests for each half year between 3 and 7 years of age. Verbal-Performance correlation in a sample of 5-year-old boys and girls was .55 and with Full Scale score it was .87 for boys and .89 for girls. It is more desirable to have low intercorrelations for reducing probability of redundant information.
