In the book Eragon by Chris Polini one sees Eragon accomplish many things with the help of his dragon. In Eragon hesuffers losses in his family and overcomes them through knowedge and growth in his streghts. In Eragon one can see him growinging up and how his magic has stregthened and how is knowledge of Alagaesia is improved.
             As Eragon is on his journey he learns about the land and the cities out his town Carvahall. Eragon lives in a small remote town had never been outside of it expcept for the spine. "Without warninng, the doors opened. . ."(pg. 397.) This shows that he had never been seen a great city like Tronjheim the underground capital of the dwarves and the Varden.
             As Eragon goes through the country he learns the art of battle and the art of magic. Eragon had been skilled in Firering arrows from his hunting expeditions but even in his best skill he was only second rate to what he should have been. He knew very little in combat when it came to hand to hand or melee attacks and knew no magic words. "One of the twins reached into his robe. . ."(456-457.) When Eragon is tested he passes with ease with the mental help of his Dragon Saphira and is becoming a skilled fighter when he defeats the shade in the great battle.
             Through his journey Eragon meets and befreinds many people and creatures. Eragon in his travels met people like Murtagh, Brom, Arya, and his dragon Saphira. "'Who are you?' asked Ergon. . ."(pg 276-270.) This shows that as he goes on his journey he may loose allies to the enemies wrath but also may gain Allies from the enemies torment of the people.
             In Eragon he Travels throught life in search for revenge and through it he gets knowledge and found out that he is in more than he can handel alone. Eragon a local farm boy who had always stayed to himself is now on an epic journey to find his uncles killers. This is important because of the knowledge of the land he gain and the skills
