To Kill A Mocking Bird

             To Kill A Mocking Bird, is about a young girls perspective about life in her small town of Maycomb. Scout Finch has a brother and a dad. Her brother's name is Jem and her dad's name is Atticus. Atticus is an well-educated lawyer in Maycomb where the story takes place. One summer a boy visits the home next door to the Finches. His name is Dill and he plays with Scout and Jem all summer until school starts. It would be Scout's first year of school.
             Scout doesn't like school and her teacher but she is the smartest one in her class and she can read. One day after school Scout catches in the corner of her eye a hole in a tree. She finds two sticks of gum and tells Jem as soon as he got home from school. Later in the year she found two Indian-head pennies and kept them. One day in the summer Scout and Jem wanted to see if they could see Boo Radley, a neighbor who never left his house, by inviting him to an ice cream party, but Atticus catches them and demanded that they stop teasing him.
             Then one night Jem and Dill sneak out and try to look through a window but hear a gun shot and run for their life. They find out that Boo Radley was shooting at a Negro in his yard. While they were running from Boo's house they hopped over a fence and Jem's pants got caught and he took them off and left them. Jem went back the next day and his pants were sewed back together and folded on the fence.
             Atticus was appointed a case to defend a black person who was accused of raping Mayella Ewell. After explaining some questions to Scout about rape he tucks her in to bed. Then she heard something under her bed, and called Jem in to look and they found Dill lying there. Dill's mom got remarried and didn't pay much attention to him. Scout and Jem got Dill some food and took him over to his Aunts house, Miss Rachel, to tell her what happe
