             There are several other factors that affect communication in the film. The location of the jurors affects communication abundantly. The jurors are in a small room a small table, packed together like sardines. It is hot in the room and uncomfortable seems like an understatement. The fan is also broken to add to the uncomfortable atmosphere.. The time is late in the day, possibly early evening, when most people are arriving home from work possibly to relax and eat dinner.
             The social setting affects communication between the jurors also. The jurors are complete strangers before serving on the jury. They are all different people with different backgrounds and more than likely different cultures. The diversity among the group will incorporate social boundaries that will not be broken easily. Although they are all strangers a verdict must be accomplished by the group, this puts all involved in a hostile situation because they have no choice but to be there to reach a verdict. .
             The historical setting is the barrier that initially prevents jurors from being open minded. Possible past experiences in some of the jurors lives have led them to feel the way they feel towards the defendant. These commun
