Too many employees are doing what they think is right and often the type and quality of service received by a patient varies greatly based on which doctor sees them. Consistent and accurate diagnostics and treatment are necessary and can only be achieved if the procedures, standards, and values are followed. Regardless of what the family and doctor agree on, if there is a Do Not Resuscitate directive in place that is what needs to be followed. If this is not enforced, then Faith Community Hospital will open itself to lawsuits that would cost a lot of money and a great deal of bad publicity resulting in a lower patient population and even more cost problems.
Communication needs to be more open between upper management, department heads, and employees. The lack of communication is a main cause of many of the problems occurring within Faith Community Hospital. Employees think they can do what they feel is correct because they have not been told otherwise. Management on the other hand is wondering why employees are doing whatever they feel like.
The majority of the patients at Faith Community Hospital are searching for the perfect remedy for situations that could have been avoided to begin with.
