The nonverbal language you speak when giving a presentation can mean the difference between career advancement and career stagnation. All of the elements described in the article encompass your nonverbal communication. Giving a presentation is more than selling a new idea or product; you are selling yourself as well. If your clients don't buy you they won't buy your product.
             I believe eye contact is extremely important because you want everyone one in the audience to feel like you are talking to them individually. If you look over their heads, they'll notice that and they will be distracted. For example, when I am speaking with someone and they are not looking at me I automatically turn my head in the direction. It's very distracting.
             Posture is very important. If you are slouched over, people will think you don't care about what you are talking about or don't believe in what you are talking about.
             Gestures are a necessary element because they keep people's attention. They also help drive points home. They must appear natural or they will be a distraction. Premeditated gestures are noticeable and may give the impression that you are nervous. For me, this is one of the toughest elements to master.
             Vocal characterizes are very important. No one likes to listen to a monotone speaker. It bores them to tears and sends them on a mental vacation.
             Visual aids are very helpful. People are visual by nature. It helps them remember things if they can relate it to something tangible.
             Preparation and use of time is important because if you don't spend the necessary time preparing for a presentation, it will show.
