             Shakira was born in Barranquilla, Colombia on February 2, 1977. Her full name is Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll. Her name means "Woman Full of Grace". She has Lebanese blood because her dad is from Lebanon. Her dad is William Mebarak and her mother is Nidia Ripoll. She is the only child of Nidia but not of William. Shakira has eight siblings. Shakira has no tattoos. Her current boyfriend is Antonio de La Rua he is son of the president of Argentina. Before she started dating Antonio she was married to Osvaldo Rios they were only married for eight months. "Shakira strong points are discipline and perfectionist"(shakira.com). Shakira does not eat candy or drink alcohol or drink coffee. She does not smoke either she hates the smell of cigarettes.
             Shakira started singing at the age of eight years at this age she wrote her first song. She also started playing her guitar when she was eleven years old.
