God's wrath and forgiveness are two elements that have been witnessed

through time. When man has disobeyed him, God has punished him. However,

along with this punishment there has been a route through which God has

also forgiven man for his misdeeds. This is something that has been

exemplified in few parts of the Book of Genesis. The fall, the murder of

Abel by Cain, the Biblical flood story, and the account of the Tower of

Babel are all examples of events in which God has shown his disappointment,

The Fall was the first time that God had been disappointed by man. God

had given Adam and Eve clear instructions not to eat anything from just one

tree. He had given them a world so beautiful, and anything else they wanted

they could have had. Instead, they both ate from the forbidden tree, and

caused suffering for the rest of mankind. Though God punished them by

banishing them from the Garden of Eden and inflicting an original sin on

their descendants, he was also merciful enough to allow man to come back to

him later on through covenants. But, the greatest thing of all this was the

fact that God allowed Adam and Eve to live and still have children, where

as in other parts of the bible there were many families that could not have

Similar to this is the murder of Abel by Cain. Though God had punished

Cain for his misdeed and jealousy, He still protected him from others and

said, "whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.

And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him"

(Genesis Ch 4:15). Here it is seen that though God was angry with Cain, he

still protected him from everything else. He also gave him a punishment

that he deserved according to the crime of which He (God) was the only

judge. It appears that God gave Cain what he deserved, and alm
