             driving a new car. He must be guilty of something. Bono intimidates the
             black man (Woods) into revealing that he has a gun in the car. JJ continues
             to stand quietly. He listens to the racial innuendo and decides to ignore
             the knowing looks he receives from the girl in the car. He is backing-up a
             fellow officer in the line of duty. It is a decision that will fester in
             his mind, but at the time, it feels like the right thing to do. This man
             has a gun, the same type as was used in the murder of a white woman. This
             must be the murderer. The leap in logic is short enough for JJ to accept.
             Massey, the precinct Captain, praises JJ for his good work. He
             implies that JJ is instrumental in the capture of a murderer. JJ's
             realizes his dream of acceptance. He validates his new family by dismissing
             the accusations of a minister at a party. He will not listen to any
             indictment of his precinct for the death of a young black man
