The following editorial analysis comes from The State News, which is a college newspaper and the opinionated nature is on the controversial issue of gay marriages and homosexuality. The editorial is entitled, "Gay Marriage Not Complex Issue to Understand", by Rishi Kundi who is a graduate columnist. The position that the author adopts on the issue of gay marriages and homosexuality is that he supports gay marriages and homosexuality. The author himself is not a homosexual but is that of heterosexual male. The author seems to totally support the gays and their rights for same sex marriage. The author does tend to oppose the individuals who are against homosexuality as well as the issue of gay marriage. Although he doesn't contest individuals whom have religious beliefs to support their reasons as to why they don't approve of gay marriages or homosexuality, he strongly doesn't think that one should use their religious beliefs as a basis to argue against gay marriages and to make laws against them. The author tends to feel that the main objections that individuals have against homosexuality and gay marriage is the idea of people of the same sex having sexual intercourse with one another and not the relationship at a whole.
How or where does the author feel that the existence of homosexuality derive from? The author never subjectively states whether or not he feels if homosexuality is something that someone is born into or if social learning develops it but he does state that he believes that homosexuality occurs in nature.
