             A world of harmony with humans and computers. It is an idea that many welcome, and also an idea that is feared. Even movies like the matrix are made to demonstrate that fact. The harmony of humans and computers is something that creates a debate, and many believe that it would eventually come true. In passage I and passage II, although the two authors differ in opinions and attitudes of a computerized world, their beliefs that eventually humans and computers will have to live in coexistence is similar. While author of passage I uses a lot of simile in his poem, the author of passage II personifies the computer in his story.
             In Passage I, the author expresses his excitement of a joint environment of humans and technology. He uses clear visuals relating to nature to illustrate his thoughts. Lines such as "of a cybernetic forest filled with pines and electronics where deer stroll peacefully past computers as if they were flowers with spinning blossoms" (lines 11~16) are describing his future vision of the world. He uses lines such as "programming harmony like pure water touching clear sky" (lines 6~8) to help the reader understand his opinions of the peaceful world that humans and computers would make. He mentions that humans would, in the future, be "watched over by machines of loving grace" (lines 24~25) indicating that the coexistence of humans and machines would be perfect in his opinion. Lines such as "and the sooner the better!" (lines 1~2) show his eagerness for the harmonic world of humans and computers. The author of passage I, uses a tone that reflects his enthusiasm for that kind of world to come. He realizes that the increasing power of technology keeps increasing.
