             be borne out by the cases of a number of high-profile people diagnosed with
            
• John Hinckley, who shot President Ronald Reagan and
             recently lost a bid for release form prison on the basis
             that he had changed [1];
            
• Charles Manson, who, with his family' of female
             assistants, murdered several people including actress
            
• Adolph Hitler, who is responsible for the biggest time-
             compressed extermination in modern history (arguably, the
             British Government, in the form of its treatment of Ireland
             and the 6 million resulting deaths there over a period of a
             century, would be another contender, except that narcissism
             is a personality, not a political, disorder);
            
• Benito Mussolini, the strongman of Italy whose exploits
             paralleled and supported those of Hitler;
            
• Jim Jones, self-styled evangelist who convinced almost
             1,000 people to join him in suicide in Guyana in 1978.
             Jones was not a fundamentalist nut as some believed. Robinson (2003)
             notes that he held degrees form Indiana University and Butler University,
             and belonged to a mainline Christian denominations, the Christian
             Church/Disciples of Christ. However, in founding a fully interracial
             congregation, he ran afoul of church hypocrisy, according to Robinson
