             There have been many allegations from Arab Americans that they have been unfairly prejudiced against as a result of counter –terrorist activities in the United States even before September 11, 2001. Reports of prejudice against Arab-Americans have a rather extensive history in America. Already in 2000 there were allegations from Arab Americans that counter - terrorist tactics were unjust and discriminatory. For example there was an outcry against the deportation of Arab Americans based on what was allegedly flimsy and "secret" evidence. A statement for the American Arab Anti Discrimination Committee (ADC) on this aspect reads as follows:
