             Everyone wants to be happy but not everyone is happy. What we work for in our life usually doesn't happen, and if it does then we should consider our self lucky. Do not start celebrating before you establish a strong grasp around it. Sometimes, you even drop things from your palm or you think you have it, when you don't.
             I came to Canada on May 14 2001. Before I came to Canada, I was doing badly on Mathematics. Once, I almost failed my math final exam. I got 52 out of 100. I used to feel really bad because my friends used to insult me by telling me, "How come your dad is an electrical engineer and you are bad in math?" I could not make them understand that just because my dad was good with numbers; it didn't mean I had to be good at it as well. Therefore, I always used to pray to God to improve my performance in math.
             Well, my prayer never came true in my home country. However, surprisingly it came true when I came to Canada. I found my grade 9 math really easy and interesting. I started working hard to get a good mark in that class and I ended up with an 82%. I was really surprised and happy with my mark. I had pretty good marks in my other classes too. Therefore, I was looking forward for an award at the end of the semester. I was taking Canadian geography, Mathematics, ESL and Science. That semester I ended up with an average of 82%. That was the second semester of my first school year in Canada. I was really ecstatic about getting the award. I saw my friends going up on the stage and receiving awards from the principal. I wanted to be one of them.
             Finally, the big day came. It was Friday and the award ceremony was supposed to be during the fourth period. I was really excited. I never got an award in my life.
