Hyatt also includes silence as a form of conversation or communication, often a better one, which reflects self-control and inner strength. It is another form of soft power. It is a sign of maturity when it allows the assessment of the entire situation. But, at other times, silence can mean distraction, boredom, social ineptness, unexpressed anger or a weapon used as punishment.
