not simply acceptable, but actually good. The Christening also highlights the importance of spirituality in the lives of the members of the Affirmations community. Yoga is another a component of the services offered at Affirmations, and a number of serenity-promoting and de-stressing activities are offered by the community center. The Affirmations community is very much a community 'center' much like a senior citizens or youth center that seeks to treat an include the whole person, not simply treat the gay and lesbian person as a political being. Along with yoga, in the near future the center will offer a crafts show, concerts, and other purely social events that are designed for personal enrichment, not simply political activism.
