("Speaking out on Diversity," 2005) The benefits of globalization to the hospitality industry are many, including an available work force but also increased client demand for industry services.
             Spivack and Chermck (1999) point out that within the tourism and hospitality industry, technological changes appear to be moving the whole industry towards globalization from both the supply side as well as demand side. Improved telecommunication systems are now allowing a rapidly growing number of clients and potential travellers easy access to every type of information needed to facilitate travel. (Hall & Jayawardena, 2002, p. 13)
             Yet, it must also be made clear that the developments are not without conflict as some businesses in the industry grow and others fall behind. Conflict debates are essential to positive change.
             Constructive Debate/International Dispute Management Systems
             Though as Malek contends the conflicts surrounding globalization are many and varied, their intractable nature makes it important that as many of the benefits be supported as possible and more importantly that negative aspects of globalization be minimized, much of which she believes can occur through constructive debate, (July, 2005, para.2-3) debates that will be supported in many ways by the hospitality industry as the most logical host to participants and conversations. Quality will be the key in this hosting as well as the development of all other prospects for growth in a global market.
