hacker group pledged to "Occupy
             Wall Street" on September 17th. This anonymous group produced a video
             advocating for peaceful demonstrations while expressing their one goal
             which is freedom. On September 9th, people started submitting photos to the
             "We Are The 99 Percent" webpage. This slogan represents the 99 percent of
             the population that feels like they are being cheated of the American
             dream. On September 17th the protest began in Bowling Green Park. This
             protest attracted thousands of people. September 24th brought a day full of
             arrests. On this day eighty arrests were made and an officer named Anthony
             Bologna was filmed using mace on a female protestor. On September 29, 2011
             the first document was approved unanimously by those involved with Occupy
             Wall Street. This document is called "The Declaration of the Occupation of
             New York City". Three documents were released that explained the protestors
             declaration of demands, principles of solidarity, and how to form your own
             Direct Democracy Occupation Group. Also released were demands for Congress
             (Gee, 2). October 1st consisted of over seven hundred protestors being
             arrested as they stopped traffic while walking across the Brooklyn Bridge.
             On the same day Occupy LA and Occupy DC began. Along with these major
             events, two journalists also published the first edition of a newspaper
             called, "The Occupied Wall Street Journal". On October 3rd the New York
             Times published the names of many more cities who planned to join the OWS
             movement with protests of their own (Gee, 2). This is an on going event but
             as of right now those are the events that led have led up to today.
