t is morally wrong to believe an idea when others do not believe in that idea, one is doing what one is condemning. The very proposition addressed is one that not many believe to be true. By addressing the advantages of a pluralistic attitude toward religions is not to condemn an exclusive point of view, but to bridge the differences to find some common beliefs that could possibly point to the same Ultimate. The bridging is not to find any religion better over another, but to provide equal evidence that compliments the differing religions to help advance our ideas on the Ultimate. The pluralistic view on religions, states that all religions are seeking understanding of the Ultimate. Each search is developed through its process of interpretation, and integration of others ideas. Differing religions can come to understand their selves, by allowing room to understand others (Panikkar, 535). Individuals are on their own path to understanding the transcendent, but by acknowledging others views and not condemning them, the individual can enrich his or her own understanding. By examining the similarities of religions, the pluralist view is able to confirm its belief that accepting other religions beliefs is not immoral, but necessary for advancing its own ideas and beliefs about the Ultimate Reality.
