             The movement was rooted within the Christian faith and the associated scriptures, in addition, the movement sought for their ideological superstructure to be based upon religious reflection as well as maintaining close association with the Church. Ergo, Liberation Theology emerged as a direct result of the systematic, disciplined reflections of Christian faith and its implications. The ethos of this approach is directed at the poor, the weak, and the oppressed, giving the poor the ability to learn to read scripture in a way that affirms their dignity and self worth, in particular, their right to struggle together for a more liberated life and better standard of living. The theory of Liberation Theology can be a template for isolating occurrences of oppression and the regional effects of the phenomena.
