             Differences Between MGB and Traditional Bargaining
             MGB is based on the idea that both sides in a negotiation have something to gain from negotiations. In traditional bargaining, the two sides struggle amongst each other to try and receive better outcomes for the parties they are representing. With traditional bargaining when one side wins, it is at the expense of the other parties. Although traditional bargaining is still the chief method of negotiating labor-management contracts today, there are many reasons students of labor relations feel a time of cooperation is now needed (Friedman, 1993, pp 436). As stated before traditional bargaining is an adversarial approach to negotiating, a more opponent-based approach. Unlike the traditional approach to bargaining, MGB focuses on teamwork between the two sides.
