It was understood that the rights of a people and of a nation were important enough to have a war and to fight for the cause. What was once seen by some as rabble-rousing and rebellious, had since been established as right and fitting and necessary. Why shouldn't the same be so in the case of suffragettes trying to establish the rights of women in that same, newly freed nation?
