It should also be remembered that many of the followers of the Boxer movement were not well educated, making it understandable that many of them joined in the hopes of becoming an unstoppable force towards the European army. These Boxers were mainly composed of young farmers, seasonal agricultural laborers, and unemployed drifters.              Leading up to the Boxer Rebellion a couple factors led to China's resistance of foreign policy.
