After carefully considering ways to advance my career, I have made the

decision to apply to the University of Connecticut's part-time MBA program

with the hopes of obtaining my master's degree in a few years. I am

certain in my decision to make UConn my school of choice and see this as

being an ideal opportunity to improve upon my existing knowledge and

skills, particularly in finance. I firmly believe that receiving an MBA

would be a personally rewarding experience and an invaluable addition to my

resume. I am also confident that I possess the necessary experience and

determination to complete the program, and that a master's degree would be

a significant step in moving towards achieving my career goals.

I have always placed an extremely high value on my education, so receiving

Stamford campuses, and would feel privileged if given the opportunity to

return as a graduate student. I am excited that UConn offers a part-time

MBA program at the Stamford campus that is in close proximity to my home

and flexible in its course schedule. I have been quite content living in

Stamford for most of my life and really enjoy my present job position at

Spectrum Asset Management, Inc., so UConn's program would make it possible

for me to balance my work life with my class and study time, as well as

remain in a thriving area that I am comfortable and familiar with.

Being accepted to UConn's MBA program would give me the chance to return to

school and pursue the educational route that I would have liked to have

followed as an undergraduate. I received a B.S. in marketing, but I soon

realized after graduating that I would be focusing on trading in financial

services. With five years of experience working within the industry, I now

have a strong sense of ...
