India's population was divided in too many classes such as peasants, wealthy property owners, and urban craftspeople, traders, and workers. They didn't even have the same language in the whole country and some habits were even different. India had two different nationalist movements due to the differences that there were among their people. On the other hand, the contrast between the liberal ideas imparted by Western education in Africa and the realities of racial discrimination under colonial rule contributed to the rise of nationalism. The feeling of being nationalist was united, so the result was better than the India's one since people were together.
