tive is the fifth step in the decision making process; I have to narrow down my alternatives. The last step is making an action plan to implement the decision. Here I will devise a plan that will bring me to that outcome. This includes post-secondary planning as well as my current high-school planner. This is a great way to organize and carry out my plan effectively. Overall, I feel that this is the best way to make an informed decision with regards to choosing a future career that best suits me.
             My interests will play a very important role in the process of choosing a future career pathway. This is because if I'm not interested in what I'm doing then I will dislike my career and feel like giving up. I won't be happy with myself and that is my main priority, to be happy. There are three types of interests and each one is important. The first is being a hands-on person. This includes using tools and machines, making objects, maintaining and fixing equipment and finding out how things work. The next one is being a people person. This is associated with caring for and helping others, persuading people, working as a part of a team, and leading and supervising others. Lastly, is being an information person. This includes expressing yourself through the arts such as music, visual arts and writing. It also includes gaining information through reading, studying or problem solving. I myself am interested in the people person category. This is because I enjoy persuading people, working as a team and leading as well as supervising others. Even though the other types of interests are not greatly chosen by me it doesn't mean that they aren't important. I also love to gain information through reading and problem solving; this would be an example of being an information person.
