made the pandemic even more afraid. News channels also brought up the last time the swine flu was an issue in the U.S, which I believe was good but not to fuel the pandemic. Last time the swine was an issue in the U.S. was in 1957, but a vaccine was created and wasn't issue until 2009. The news forgot to leave in that the vaccine used in the 1957 is almost the same as the one created for the H1N1. Also the people treated for the swine flu in the late 50's have a bit of tolerance against the swine flu today. The news was constantly showing states and cities with the people who were thought and diagnose with H1N1 influenza. The more it got closer to my state, people around were more paranoid than usually. When people began to die of the influenza, people got even afraid and started to buy medicine and get any vaccine available that would at least in any way fight away this flu. When more and more people were being diagnosed with the swine flu, kids were deemed to go to school if they had any symptoms of the flu.
             I recall when the swine flu was declared a pandemic, when a kid even cough in class they were sent to the nurse to be examined and parents were notified. In our society, monkey see monkey do, when people began buying way to avoid the flu other people jumped in the wagon and began buy for their selves and children.
