Jesus warns us that, "then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me" (Matthew 24:9). An additional warning of Christ's return is a visual one. We are told that, "there will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea...When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift your heads, because your redemption is drawing near" (Luke 21: 25-28). Other signs include increase in war, famine, pestilence, and earthquakes, exaggerated riches, a move toward a one-world religion, and an increase of international revolution (Pache 81-96). Because we can't know for sure when Jesus is returning, we must always be ready. This includes being prepared, watchful, courageous, faithful, and patient.
             The bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17: "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
