Once again, eBusiness strategy can add value to operational activities not only by providing a means of managing operational projects, but also in the set up of how information is passed within a firm and between a firm and external participants. Depending on the industry, a company's operational activities may focus mainly on on ecommerce. The analysis of the operational activities in the value chain for wholesale and retail companies such as Amazon.com and Ebay would prove to play an integral part of an eBusiness strategy.
