The script writer has Dr. Lamar use these words to imply that he knows that Vincent is using a mechanical mechanism to urinate and is impressed by his genius in using it in order not being found out.
2. The kindergarten rejects Vincent because he's 'in-valid' and has big iron gates around it. Why? What do these gates suggest?
The big gates used by the kindergarten symbolise and suggest that they do not want 'invalids' to be accepted or included, in their society. It offers protection to the 'valids' from the lower class scum.
3. Why do Anton + Vincent play chicken? Why does Anton nearly always win? Why did Vincent win once? Why does Anton refuse to become Vincent's blood brother?
'Chicken' is a game played by Anton and Vincent. They swim out as far as one is physically mentally willing to go. The one who 'chickens out' first is the looser. Anton being the physically stronger one of the two almost always wins. One day Vincent is so determined to win he beats Anton. Anton then refuses to become blood brothers with Vincent because he is not willing to do such a thing with an 'in-valid'.
4. Describe the interior of the Gattaca building. What does this suggest about the corporation? Its work? Society?
Gattaca appears to be a sterile, gloomy work place. This suggests that as a corporation that they are not willing to accept contaminated 'invalids'. The work that is conducted at Gattaca is not really explored in the film, but it is well documented that it is a very mentally challenging for one to have.
