             Just because racism is thought of as a thing of the past, it still goes on
             today. A student at the University of Virginia was assaulted on February 27, 2003.
             Civlrights.org stated this "A second-year student UVA student, candidate for
             student council president, named Daisy Myong-Hui Lundy, of African-American
             and Korean descent was assaulted. Lundy told police the assailant said 'No one
             wants a nigger to be president.' Lundy suffered a mild concussion, a sprained
             ankle, and torn ligaments in her knee." This event proves that hate crimes may
             never end. Lundy's attacker still has not been found. (civilrights.org)
