Alternative Fuel Vehicle Assessment
             Burkhart (2002) argues, "It is time to stop using the term 'alternative fuel'. The word 'alternative' is often synonymous with experimental and unproven, but 'alternative fuels' and 'alternative fuel vehicles' are no longer alternative--they are part of the mainstream" (p. 52)
            
             It is no longer a rare phenomenon to see a hybrid vehicle at local supermarkets or on local highways. The time is now for a new, cleaner way to drive and alternative fuel is fast becoming the more reliable and environmentally safe way to drive. The time is now to contribute our efforts,             The idea of alternative fuel vehicles is not a new one. The idea has been discussed for decades. It just has not been feasible, until now. With growing technology today, it is easier and cheaper than ever before to design and produce vehicles that run on fuels that are not petroleum based.
