lead societal change, such as the Renaissance period, as well as the more modern period with The Beatles and other, now oldies, bands. Older punk bands such as the Sex Pistols, Crass, The Clash, and Minor Threat have always been the voice of the working class and arguable minorities of their respective time period in times of strife. Punk musicians have voiced their concerns of sexism and other social change (Liberation Media).
             The list of bands in the coalition, over one hundred and fifty strong, is hardly overlookable. Popular bands dot their ranks, as well as smaller underground bands, perhaps jumping on the anti-Bush ticket only to make a name for themselves. Big-name bands include artists such as Anti-flag, the Ataris, Bad Religion, Blink 182, the Foo Fighters, the Get Up Kids, Good Charlotte, Green Day, Lagwagon, Less than Jake, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, New Found Glory, NoFX, Offspring, Pennywise, Rancid, Rise Against, Sum 41, and Yellowcard.
