Israel represents the Jews who are no longer willing to let themselves be killed by totalitarian regimes, religious fundamentalism and RACISM. The state of Israel represents those Jews who have learned to defend themselves. Its governments, whatever their political inclination, are the democratic and free expression of the sovereignty of the people.
             In a small country nearly the size of the Kruger Park, violence is an everyday norm. Suicide bombings, lynchings and ambushings, are not the once rare occurrences they used to be. Daily attacks are dealt to Israel by the factions of Palestinian terror. Revenge by Israel comes next. Israel then retaliates in defense of its citizens and the world cries in horror at Israeli brutality. Why is the defense of its citizens by their country brutality, why is it oppression, and why... oh why is the mindless and cold hearted slaughter of innocent people by psychotics, religious fundamentalists acceptable?
             Ask a newspaper reading, CNN watching man on the streets these questions and he will tell you that the Israelis are the invading oppressors, occupying Palestinian land by means of brutal force, that the Israelis are racist towards the Palestinians, whom are just innocent people trying to liberate "their" land. He will tell you that that he can understand why suicide bombers feel the way they do, because Israel doesn't belong in the west bank or Gaza strip. Never mind that suicide bombers are the reason that the Israelis occupied the west bank and Gaza strip in the first place.
             But then again why should we expect him to know any better, when the media habitually side with the Palestinians, and the Arabs have managed to perpetrate one of the most colossal lies in the history of mankind.
