Death seems to have become very common in Long Island the past two days. There was not just one death, there were three local deaths. The first being Myrtle Wilson who was killed by a car in a hit and run accident. Second, the murder of Jay Gatsby, a wealthy socialite who didn't have many enemies. Last, and the purpose of this article, is the suicide of George Wilson. Wilson happens to be the late husband of the late Myrtle Wilson.
             With further investigation of this story, we find the Wilson's in turmoil about two days before the car accident. Wilson, a humble mechanic who was very much in love with his wife, found out that she was having an affair. He planned to move her West in order to save their marriage, but two things stopped him. One being the untimely death of Myrtle Wilson, the other being the fact that her heart would have still been with her lover here in New York.
             Wilson was very hurt by the loss of his wife. He did not speak much or move from one spot the whole night. A friend of Wilson's, a man named Michaelis, looked after Wilson that night. He commented in a recent interview that Wilson was still in shock from the events of that day. He also said that there was a point when Wilson thought that the eyes of Dr. T.J. Eckleburg, on a billboard, were the eyes of God. And, he believed they saw everything. "It's just and advertisement," said Michaelis. Obviously, Wilson was having more than a hard time dealing with his pain.
             The next day, Michaelis came back to Wilson's garage, but he was missing. Michaelis managed to trace the route that Wilson had taken, but he lost track at a point where Wilson seemed to have disappeared for about three hours. He was later found dead at the house of Jay Gatsby, who was also found dead in his pool.
